Eight major projects of road infrastructure over the summer in Bucharest

Eight construction sites for major road infrastructure already are or will be open during the summer in Bucharest, whereas the procedures for the technical project will start to create 100 km bicycle lanes, announced mayor Sorin Oprescu during a press conference. The mayor said “the works are going at a rapid pace at Mihai Bravu passage” after the first bridge of the passage was open on June 1, on the route Big Berceni to Vacaresti to Mihai Bravu. “We hope that the second bridge will be concluded towards the end of the year, considering that we are working during the summer,” said Oprescu. The contract to conclude the works is worth RON 155.7 million, VAT included, as the mayoralty had paid other RON 37 million before for a contract that was terminated in December 2012.
