Dacia sales in Great Britain up by 85 pc in first 6 months

The number of Dacia registrations in Great Britain has gone up by 85.5 percent in the first six months of the year to 12,976 cars. The climb was well above the market increase to 1.3 million cars, according to data provided by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).  Dacia’s market share in Great Britain touched 1.01 percent in the first six months of the year from 0.6 percent in the same period last year. In June, Dacia sales reported a 5.58 percent increase to 1,931 cars and a market share of 0.85 percent, similar to June 2013. At market level, registrations climbed by 6.2 percent in June to 228,291 cars, according to Mediafax. The first quarter’s best-selling brands were Ford – 172, 554 sold cars, Vauxhall – 141,609, Volkswagen – 110,666, and Audi – 83,761. In the first six months, Renault sales in Great Britain grew by 60 percent to 32,064 cars with a market share of 2.5 percent from 1.7 percent.
