Movie collection “Pintilie, Filmmaker,” awarded at DVD Awards

The DVD set “Pintilie, Filmmaker,” a collection including the eleven feature films of filmmaker Lucian Pintilie got the award for the best DVD with special elements at the eleventh edition of the Cinema Festival Il Ritrovato, a large-scale event organized by the Film Collection in Bologna between June 29 and July 6. The eleven feature films in restored versions directed by Pintilie are “Sunday, at 6 o’clock,” “The Reenactment,” “Salon no 6,” “For whom the bells toll, Mitica?” “The Balance,” “An unforgettable Summer,” “Too late,” “Terminus Paradis,” “The afternoon of a torturer,” “Niki Ardelean, Reserve Colonel” and “Tertium non datur.” DVD Awards, the major event of this type in the world, tries to encourage and make quality home entertainment more visible, by an annual selection of the most valuable and best created such projects on the international market.
