Daciana Sarbu, Mircea Diaconu, elected vice chair of Environment and Culture EP committees

Romanian Social Democrat (PSD) Euro-deputy Daciana Sarbu on Monday was elected vice chair of the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) Committee in the European Parliament, on which occasion she said she will keep fighting for promoting a healthy lifestyle and she will also get involved in the policies aimed at preventing cancer and supporting those hit by the disease. Independent MEP Mircea Diaconu, member of the ALDE group of the European Parliament, was elected, on Monday, to serve as the Vice President of the Culture and Education Committee (CULT). From this position, the MEP stated that he will work on several unfinished projects, among them a ‘fabulous one’ regarding cinematography.
