Conductor Ion Marin opens summer concerts at Monte Carlo

The Romanian conductor Ion Marin will conduct the Orchestra of Monte Carlo Philharmonic after the invitation extended by Prince Albert de Monaco, on occasion of the opening of a series of six concerts organized at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, reports a press release quoted by Mediafax. The program conducted by the Romanian musician will enjoy the presence of pianists Marielle and Katia Labeque, who will play the “Concerto for two pianos and orchestra in D minor” of Francis Poulenc. In the second half of the concert, the orchestra conducted by Ion Marin will play “Symphonie Fantastique Op 14” by Hector Berlioz. On the other hand, on July 26, Ion Marin will conduct the Symphonic Radio Orchestra of Prague in a concert paying homage to Antonin Dvorak.
