More than 500 people were present during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday in Deva at the first show of the Festival of outdoors classical music “Opera Nights” which opened with “Carmen” by Bizet, reports Mediafax. The “Opera Nights” festival started on Tuesday night and the first show, “Carmen” by Bizet, lasted till after 1 am and stirred rounds of applause from the public. “Opera Nights” festival continued last night in the courtyard of Corvin Castle in Hunedoara with the opera “Tosca” by Puccini. The ballet aficionados will have the opportunity to watch today the show “Don Quixote” by Minkus, in the courtyard of the Lapidarium, behind Magna Curia Palace in Deva, and the “Opera Ballet” is scheduled for Friday in the Imperial Diet Chamber of Corvin Castle. The shows at the castle continue on July 19 with “Turandot” by Puccini and the festival will conclude on July 20 in Deva with “The Merry Widow” by Lehar.
