Sabotage presents: Stoner Rock Evening with Planet of Zeus headliner

This summer, Sabotage continues its declared mission to bring non-conformist fans of alternative music together, be them either rock, punk, rap, ska, biker or rebels, during Stoner Rock Evening! Presented by Ciuc Premium, this new Sabotage event will take place on August 29 at Fabrica and its headliner will be Planet of Zeus, the famous stoner rock and heavy metal band from Greece, along with several local names such as Roadkillsoda, Wooldozer and No One Cares, according to a press release.
Planet of Zeus was created in 2000 in Athens in Greece and its lineup is made up of Babis (leading vocal, guitar), Yog (guitar), Syke (drums) and J.V (bass guitar). Ever since the band was created, the four artists have held intensive concerts all over Greece, singing in most various places from underground parties and their friends’ houses to stadium. The large number of tours helped Planet of Zeus become one of the most famous heavy rock bands in their country, as each of their “home” concert gets sold out, minutes after it is announced. Renowned for their stage performing energy, their honesty to the public and the continuous improvement of their live shows, Planet of Zeus ensured a loyal fan base which has already expanded outside Greece’s borders, as two European tours brought them in from of the public in Germany, the UK, Austria, France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia and the Czech Republic, but also at some festivals such as Desertfest (2013 – UK), Underground Festival (2011 – Germany) or Exit Festival (2012 – Serbia). In time, the band shared the stage with such names as Deftones, Pentagram, Monster Magnet, Karmato Burn, Eyehategod, Church of Misery and Ozzy Osbourne.
Planet of Zeus has not focus on live shows only but also on the studio work, as they have launched three albums so far which enjoyed a real success among the genre aficionados: Eleven the Hard Way (2008), Macho Libre (2011) and Vigilante (2013). Once they launched their latest album, the four Greeks showed not only musical progress, but they also found their own sound again, a mixture of relaxed groove, unique riffs and an “in your face” voice!
Tickets for Stoner Rock Evening cost RON 20 and can be purchased only during the event’s night at the club entrance.
