Shows by Silviu Purcarete and Radu Beligan at National Theatre Festival 2014

“Devil’s casting” by Radu Afrim, “Victor or kids at helm” by Silviu Purcarete and “Make room for me!” by Radu Beligan are among the shows selected for this year’s edition of the National Theatre Festival (FNT) to take place in Bucharest between October 24 and November 2.
Thus, the public will be able to watch the shows “Home in midsummer” by Tracy Letts directed by Claudiu Goga (National Theatre Vasile Alecsandri from Iasi), “Amalia breathes deep” by Alina Nelega, under the directing and playwriting of Tudor Lucanu (National Theatre Cluj-Napoca), “Cabaret” by Joe Masteroff, a show by Razvan Mazilu (German State Theatre Timisoara), “Devil’s casting” by Radu Afrim (National Theatre Targu Mures, “Tompa Miklos” company), “Five hours with Mario” by Miguel Delibes directed by Mariana Camarasan (Unteatru Bucharest) and “For sale,” a show by Gianina Carbunariu (Odeon Theatre Bucharest).
The official selection of the 24th edition of the National Theatre Festival also includes the shows “Tot Family” by Orkeny Istvan directed by Bocsardi Laszlo (National Theatre Marin Sorescu, Craiova), “Make room for me!” by Anthony Michineau directed by Radu Beligan (Godot-Cafe Theatre), “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare directed by Alexandru Morfov (National Theatre Bucharest), “In traffic,” a show by Alina Nelega (National Theatre Targu-Mures, “Liviu Rebreanu” company), “Mozart steps,” a choreographic theatre show by Gigi Caciuleanu (National Theatre “Radu Stanca” Sibiu) and others.
The show “Aureliu Manea trilogy” will be held in memoriam for the aforementioned (after texts by Aureliu Manea: “Pensive Penelope,” “Theatre rehearsal,” “The East Fairy”) directed by Gabor Tompa (National Theatre Cluj-Napoca)
The National Theatre Festival is organised by the Theatre Union of Romania (UNITER), the Ministry of Culture, the Mayoralty of Bucharest and ArCub.
