The National Students’ Council to carry out ‘Minister for a Day’ programme

The National Students’ Council (CNE) is going to carry out a programme dubbed ‘Minister for a Day’ in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of National Defence and the Department for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Business Environment and Tourism.

According to the CNE website, the programme is meant to raise awareness over the responsibilities a leader holding a national office has and the need of eliminating communication barriers between students and the decision makers.

‘Expected to participate in this programme are high students from all over the country that want to bring their contribution to the improvement of the educational and youth policies in Romania. Candidates are supposed to register their names in an application available on CNE’s website – Wedu.ro – until August 31. The registration form requires a description of the most important projects the candidate has initiated so far, his/her competencies that recommends him/her for holding such an office and a detailed mini-strategy concerning the development of the targeted ministry,’ said CNE.

Accommodation and transport will be provided by the organisers.

Each of the available sections will have its own winner, to be announced within maximum 10 days since the end of the enrollment period. The application will be reviewed by a mixed committee made up of two representatives of the Executive Bureau of the CNE and of two of the ministries and also an external consultant.
