PMP’s Udrea: If I win the presidential elections, in one week at the most I will replace PM Ponta

PMP’s (People’s Movement Party) chairwoman and presidential hopeful Elena Udrea on Sunday in Resita (central Romania) said that, were she to win the presidential elections, she would immediately remove Victor Ponta from Prime Minister.

‘If I’m elected president, in one week at the most I will build a new parliamentary majority and, through the motion mechanism, I will remove Victor Ponta from Prime Minister. What I want is to change this government that over the past two years has proven nothing else but poor training, incompetency and lack of responsibility. I am an enough strong politician, with a ten year career behind me, so that I would know to immediately as I would become president to replace Victor Ponta with someone with an economic vision and who will know what are the measures likely to bring prosperity to this country, from slashing fares and taxes to absorption of EU funds to create new jobs, from developing infrastructure project to the management of state-owned companies, which must be efficient and not clientele-based. There are things that a man with vision and good faith can put into practice,’ said Udrea.

The PMP leader hopes to attract the electorate that ‘truly’wants the country to embark on a road of reforms and modernisation.
