Leaders of PNL and PDL parliamentary groups call for a meeting of Joint Standing Bureaus

The leaders of the National Liberal Party (PNL) and Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) parliamentary groups have submitted a request on Wednesday for an emergency call of the Joint Standing Bureaus in the next parliamentary session, with the agenda to include the report regarding the Defence White Paper 2013 and the decision of the Parliament regarding the designation of the Administration Council of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation.

According to a press release the address submitted by the PNL and PDL asks for a debate and the adoption of the Defence White Paper 2013 – a document adopted by the Joint Defence, Public Order and National Security Committees on November 13, 2013.

Christian Liberal Alliance (ACL; formed by PNL and PDL) believes that ‘a responsible attitude is more than justified’ on the part of the Parliamentary majority regarding this subject, given the ‘tense’ political-military context in the close vicinity of Romania’s borders.
