Subsidies for social insurance budget total RON 7.88 bn in first seven months

The subsidies for the social insurance budget, from which the state pays pensions, totaled 7.88 billion lei in the first seven months of 2014, according to the Ministry of Public Finance (MPF).

The total revenues of this budget amounted to RON 30.38 billion lei, and total expenditures stood at 30.26 billion lei.The deficit of the national health insurance fund, recorded in the first seven months, was 791.2 million lei.

Total revenues stood at 12.19 billion lei, total expenditures -12.98 billion lei and subsidies totaled 1.59 billion lei.

In the first seven months of 2014, the state received in the consolidated general budget, from insurance contributions, 33.04 billion lei, 5% of GDP respectively, by 1.77 billion lei (5.7%) more than the revenues in the same period of last year – 31.27 billion lei.

In total budget revenues in the first seven months of 2014, those from insurance contributions represented 27.3% compared to 26.9% in the same period of last year.
