French secretary of state for European Affairs on an official visit to Bucharest

The French secretary of state for European Affairs Harlem Desir is paying a two-day official visit to Romania, where he has meetings with the Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister, Titus Corlatean and with his counterpart, George Ciamba, secretary of state, chief of the Department for European Affairs within the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE).

According to MAE, the visit is taking place at the Romanian side’s invitation and after the participation of the French official, next to the Romanian diplomacy’s head, in the reunion of the Group for European Action of the Republic of Moldova, in Chisinau.

During his visit to Bucharest, the French official will participate in the opening of the school year at the French High-School “Anna de Noailles” of Bucharest.

“At the same time, the state secretary Harlem Desir will visit the integrated Centre of advanced photonic laser technologies (CETAL) from Magurele and the headquarters of the Extreme Light Infrastructure – Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP) project. In the end of his visit, Harlem Desir will meet the representatives of the French community and of the main French companies in Romania,” the MAE adds.
