Starting September 13th, 2014, one in every two Romanians who are currently using Romtelecom or COSMOTE Romania services will become Telekom Romania customers and the two companies will officially join the Telekom worldwide family.
Following a record breaking process for the adoption of the new brand, Telekom Romania Communications and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications will be represented commercially by the Telekom Romania brand using the tagline “EXPERIENTE IMPREUNA”.
Fully integrated products and services, designed to deliver “best in class” experiences for customers will be offered under the “T” trademark. Telekom Romania fully embraces the Telekom brand values of Innovation, Simplicity and Competence, by leveraging the full portfolio of existing technologies.
The “Telekom” moment has been preceded by a sound strategy with the ambition to become the No.1 convergent telecom & entertainment services provider in Romania. As a result, Romania is a significant performance contributor in Europe’s segment of Deutsche Telekom Group.

Romania is a national and regional market where the big international companies are confident to invest and this is the best signal that our country can get, Prime Minister Victor Ponta said attending the launch event. PM Ponta remarked during an opening speech that Romania went up 17 positions in the world competitiveness ranking, and investors are interested in coming and investing in Romania as a national and regional markets, among the investments he mentioned were the Deutsche Bank Technology Center in Bucharest, the Bosch production unit inaugurated in Cluj and the Daimler production unit in Sebes.
Ponta also promised that the Romanian economic climate will become more friendly for investors since, “what all investors in Romania have accused- excessive labor taxation- will be tackled by the soon to be implemented reduction in social insurance contributions (CAS).
The new combined packages start from EUR 20 a month and go up to EUR 99 a month. The largest package includes three mobile subscriptions, a TV package with up to 126 channels, fixed internet with up to 100 Mbps speed and a mobile internet plus voice services. This package also includes three Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite smartphones and one Samsung Galaxy TAB4 T335 tablet. These new packages will be available in the 43 corporate shops that have already been rebranded as T-shops.
Moreover, Telekom Romania will launch an online platform called Telekom TV, which will provide multiscreen experience, regardless of device, exclusive content for hundreds of hours of entertainment and a personal TV experience, since it gives customers full control of what and when they wish to watch their favorite program.
