As of September this year, all CEC Bank newly-issued MasterCards will come with an embedded contactless technology which enables the holder to make quick and safe transactions simply by bringing the card near the payment terminal without actually introducing it into the terminal.
‘The PayPass MasterCard technology is a latest generation payment solution, being one of the quickest and safest card payment methods. For transactions with a value lower than RON 100, no PIN introduction will generally be required’, CEC Bank Chairman Radu Gratian Ghetea said.
The PayPass technology will enable the user to make payments with any merchant in the country and abroad where the PayPass logo or contactless symbol is displayed, saving time and bringing users comfort.
During the period from September 15 to December 31, 2014, the bank clients who use their MasterCard PayPass for paying for their shopping can win two trips to the Rugby World Cup in London, two tablets every month and other weekly prizes.
