Road carriers demand repairs of national roads

The National Union of Road Carriers of Romania – UNTRR –demands the stepping up of the renovation work on DN7 by opening a continuous work front – minimum 2 shifts during the week as well as over the weekend (the contractors currently only work 8 hours per day and not at the weekend) in order to deal in the shortest time possible with the issues that led to suspending the traffic for commercial vehicles on DN7 between Pitesti and Ramnicu Valcea, a sector of road posing special importance to national economy and which is a part of the European Road Transport Corridor IV.
UNTRR calls upon authorities to disclose the duration of the traffic restriction and indicate the alternate routes in order to help clients and carriers in their work.
‘We express our concern about the jams that have been reported on DN6 after the heavy rainfall today. Causing the stopping of traffic for commercial vehicles on several segments of the European road E70, Orsova-Drobeta Turnu Severin segment and the exit from Orsova in the Caransebes direction.
