Measures for the 2015 budget to be discussed with EC, IMF and WB

The measures for the 2015 budget will be discussed during the official visit of the European Commission’s, International Monetary Fund’s and World Bank’s mission to Bucharest, at the end of November, Premier Victor Ponta stated on Wednesday.
“The current talks in Brussels have to do with this rectification, the one that will take place by the end of September. The measures for the future budget will be discussed during the official mission of the European Commission, International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, a mission that will come to Bucharest at the end of November. For the time being there are only some technical talks concerning the current situation, the parameters we have assumed and which we fully respect, however the talks on 2015 will take place during the official visit we will receive at the end of November,” Premier Victor Ponta said.
According to Guillermo Tolosa, the IMF’s representative for Romania and Bulgaria, the talks taking place in Brussels this week with the Romanian authorities concern the recent economic developments and the stage of implementing the commitments agreed in the key domains included in the program.
“The teams will also discuss with the Romanian authorities the preparations for the second budget rectification. The meetings will take place in Brussels, at the invitation extended by the European Commission. This is an informal exchange of opinions, not an official evaluation,” the IMF official stated on September 11.
Likewise, the National Energy Regulation Authority (ANRE) has sent to the Public Finances Ministry a series of documents that the government had requested in view of the talks with the IMF.
“For the meeting with the IMF we were asked to prepare models presenting the stage we are in concerning the energy and natural gas price liberalization process, models we were supposed to send to the Finance Ministry. Today we have sent all the documents requested,” ANRE President Niculae Havrilet stated.
