“2014 Korean Cultural Festival” tomorrow at RAU

All fans of Korean culture will gather tomorrow at 10:00 am at the Romanian-American University (RAU) in Bucharest to attend the “2014 Korean Cultural Festival”-celebrating the Korean wave.
The event is due to last 5 hours and is co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Romanian-American University with the participation of the University of Bucharest and Korea fans’ associations in Romania: Romanian Korean Intercultural Association (RKIA), “Nan Kibun” Romanian-Korean Cultural Association, Sarang Hangug Community (SHC) and Taekwondo Lifestyle. Traditional dance & Samulnori teams from Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will also participate to delight the public.
The Festival is structured in three parts: “Korean culture through Romania’s eyes” workshop with presentations and talks on “The Korean wave-past, present and future”, performances (traditional Korean music performed by Samulnori performers, Korean –pop dance and Korean music sung by choir,) and an exhibition (hanji crafts, Korean art pieces, photos of Korea).The visitors will also have the chance to taste traditional Korean food at a special buffet.
H.E. Mr. Hyo-Sung Park, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea and RAU’s rector will address greetings at the opening of the event. During the Festival, videos of awarded participants at the video contest “To me, Korea is” will be also played.
