Romania plays an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions

Romania plays an important role in what regards the process of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, especially in southeastern Europe, said, on Thursday, Jian Xie, an expert on environment with the World Bank, during a specialist conference.
The TERRA Mileniul III foundation, together with the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA) on Thursday organised the conference titled “Romania — towards an economy with reduced greenhouse gas emissions” that presented the results of the project named “Towards a green economy with reduced CO2 emissions — SEVER CO2”, co-financed by Switzerland via the Swiss Enlargement Contribution.
In the period in which the project ran, September 2013 — October 2014, over 1,000 persons have taken part in project-related activities and a series of materials such as the public policy guide titled “Zero emissions” were developed.
