Bucharest Comedy Week has started

Bucharest Comedy Week is the first internationalcomedy festival hosted by Bucharest and is takingplace until September 28 as a collection of showsand humor-filled moments that will transformBucharest into a metropolis of comedy. The event,organized by ARCUB – the Bucharest CulturalCenter – in partnership with the CarouselAssociation is included in the series of events thatare part of the Bucharest 555 anniversary projectoccasioned by the 555th anniversary of the city’sfirst mention.This week of comedy features stand-up comedyshows, street shows, films, theater shows, humoristicactivities and improvisations in various locationssuch as cinemas, show halls, theaters, cafes, parksand even streets.Carlos Mencia, one of the best-known stand-upcomedy performers in the world, is one of the starsof the festival. The actor, considered to be anabsolute entertainer, can be seen live in Buchareston September 27, at the Palace Hall.Details about the schedule and location of theevents can be found on the festival’s website –bucharestcomedyweek.ro.
