Eugen Teodorovici: We will have unique model in what concerns European funds

Romania will have a unique model in Europe in what concerns European funds, and in this sense we will apply the “first-come, first-served” principle, with very strict but at the same time extremely simple rules, European Funds Minister Eugen Teodorovici stated on Wednesday at a conference.
Romania’s Partnership Agreement was approved by the European Commission on August 6, Romania being the 11th European state for which the European body has approved this framework document. Today there are only 16 states whose partnership agreements have been approved.  The European body approved Romania’s document approximately four months after it was officially sent, while Poland, a country of reference for those who criticize the current government on the issue of European funds, obtained the approval after almost five months.
In 2014-2020 Romania benefits from European funds worth approximately EUR 43 bln, of which EUR 22 bln are allocated for cohesion policy.
