Romanian-American ‘Love by Design’ coproduction starring Jane Seymour, a film shot almost entirely in Romania, both in Bucharest and in Transylvania, will be premiered in Romanian cinemas on October 31.
‘Love by Design’ was shot in Bucharest, in places such as the Bragadiru Palace and Bulandra Theatre, as well as in Transylvania, at Sighisoara, Saschiz and Biertan, according to a release sent to Mediafax.
‘Having the extraordinary chance to shoot in the amazing villages and towns in the mountains of Transylvania was a dream and a memorable experience’, said film director Michael Damian.
Actress Giulia Nahmany also notes in an interview: ‘I would say film can be a genuine ambassador for holiday destinations in this country’.
The romantic comedy features Danielle Luca, played by Giulia Nahmany, whose life experiences a sudden shift when Vivien Thompson, (Jane Seymour), editor-in-chief of a well-known New York-based magazine, ‘Beguile’, fires her as fashion editor and has to return home, to Romania, where she embarks on a rediscovery quest.
The cast of characters also includes Olivia Hallinan, known in the UK from the BBC ‘Lark Rise Candleford’ series.
“Love by Design” is directed by Michael Damian, known to the Romanian public for his part on ‘The Young and the Restless’ TV drama. The script was written by Michael Damian and Alexandru Adrian Marinică.
