The European Commission has approved, on the basis of the EU regulation on economic concentrations, the purchase of Eni Ceska Republika s.r.o., Eni Romania S.R.L. and Eni Slovensko spol. s.r.o. by MOL Petroleum and Gas Plc. from Hungary.
The Commission reached the conclusion that the proposed transaction does not raise competition problems because the entity resulting from the merger will continue to be subjected to competitive pressures from other actors on the market, both upstream and downstream.
