‘The topics were multiple, including the issue of the third bridge in Satu Mare, investments, Chinese traditional medicine, Satu Mare Airport and the possibility of a connection with China. I am glad that she has the same viewpoint as we, that between the Romanian people and the Chinese one there has been a friendship for over 65 years and that we mutually want to develop this relationship further. She invited us to come to the embassy with projects that she may present to Chinese investors,’ said Mayor Dorel Coica.
According to the mayor, discussions focused mainly on agriculture and the building of a medicine herbs factory.
‘We felt that Mrs Ambassador is open to a relationship with Satu Mare. We also talked about about thermal water, investments in tourism, we suggested that intensive agriculture can be done in Satu Mare County, by using thermal water to heat greenhouses, which can yield production 365 days per year.
