Air traffic on Bucharest’s two airports has risen by 7.5 per cent in the first eight months of this year to 5.5 million passengers, Valetin Iordache, communication and public relations director within the Bucharest Airports National Company, stated.
“We have a growth of over 5 per cent in the first eight months in the number of takeoffs and landings and of 7.5 per cent in the number of passengers, against the backdrop in which the growth was even higher during the summer months,” the Bucharest Airports representative stated at the “Talks about Aviation 2” conference organized by Mediafax.
In 2013, Bucharest’s two airports were transited by 7.64 million passengers, up by 1.3 per cent, and the number of takeoffs and landings stood at 95,984.
