Argentine pianist Dario Ntaca performs in Bucharest

The Embassy of the Argentine Republic to Romania, in collaboration with   the Instituto Cervantes and the Bucharest Philharmonic “George Enescu”, organize a concert offered by the Argentine pianist Darío Ntaca.
Works by: Carlos Guastavino, Mozart, Brahms, SchubertThe concert will take place in the Large Hall (Sala Mare) of the Romanian Athenaeum, Str. Franklin 1-3, On October  15th at 19:00 hs.
Born in Buenos Aires, Darío A. Ntaca emerges as one of the leading musicians of his generation. His successful career as virtuoso pianist and conductor makes him one of most unique and exceptional Latin-American artists. Besides his international engagements in both fields, Mr. Ntaca is the founder of the Sinfonietta Argerich in Argentina, and has been its Music Director since its creation in 2004. He has toured with the Orchestra most of the major musical centers in Argentina with Martha Argerich as soloist.
Mr. Ntaca has been Music Director the San Luis Orchestra in Argentina from 1990 to 1996 . He has appeared as pianist and conductor with the Sinfonietta de Paris, Moravian Philharmonic in the Czech Republic; in Bulgaria with the Burgas Symphony Orchestra, Russe Philharmonic, Varna Philharmonic and Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestras. He also toured Spain in 1994 with the Oxford Chamber Orchestra.
His piano repertoire includes all the works for piano and orchestra by Rachmaninoff and he has performed them in major centers throughout the Americas such as Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Campinas (Sao Paulo), Bogotá, Los Angeles, etc.He is also frequently invited to perform Brahms’ Piano Concerti. He has appeared as soloist in both of them with the National Symphony Orchestra in Argentina. He also conducts from the keyboard most of Mozart’s Piano Concerti.
