Petrom lowers gasoline and diesel oil prices

OMV Petrom, the biggest company on the local fuel market, has lowered the price of fuel at midnight, for the second time in the last week.
Petrom has lowered its gasoline and diesel oil prices by RON 0.04 per liter starting on October 16 at 12 p.m. Petrom has lowered its prices by a cumulated RON 0.11 per liter in the case of gasoline and RON 0.07 per liter in the case of diesel oil in the last two weeks.
Oil companies set their fuel prices in relation to the international prices of oil products, the exchange rate, the fiscal level but also the market conditions.
Petrom is the biggest fuel distribution company on the market, with a network of 550 gas stations. Its main competitors are Rompetrol, Lukoil and Mol. Petrom is controlled by Austria’s OMV since 2004.
