More than 1,100 new exclusivist automobiles were registered in Romania

More than 1,100 new exclusivist automobiles were registered in Romania, January- September, 2014, down 13.53 per cent from the same period of the year before, with Audi automobiles having recorded the largest decline, of nearly 1,000 units, reveal data with the Driving Licences and Car Registration Directorate (DRPCIV) as of Friday.
In the ranking of the 1,131 new car registrations, the makes that recorded drops from the first nine months of 2013 were Audi (984 units, -8.89 per cent), Lexus (40 units, -18.37 per cent), Jaguar (31 units , -42.59 per cent), Alfa Romeo (24 units, -61.29 per cent) and Lancia (17 units, -55.26 per cent).
Rises or stagnation were reported by the Maserati (15 units, +150 per cent), Bentley (9 units, +28,57 per cent), Ferrari (6 units, the same as in 2013), Lamborghini (3 units, +100 per cent) and Aston Martin (two units) makes.
Romania’s fleet of motor vehicles was standing at nearly 5.98 million units as of end-2013, up 4.73 per cent from the same period of the year before, according to DRPCIV. Out of the total, nearly 4.7 million units were automobiles and more than 3.3 million were running on petrol. At the same time, 1.91 million vehicles were older than 6-10 years and 1.42 million were between 11 and 15 years. Nearly 1.14 million were 20 years of older.
Overall, 2.35 million Romanians opted for diesel engine cars and 3.32 million for petrol engine cars.
