The number of the Romanian firms having suspended activity in the eight months of this year dropped by 29.62 percent from Jan.-Aug. of 2013 to 11,016 firms from 15,652, show figures centralised by the National Trade Registry Office released on Sunday.
Most of the companies that ended operations were recorded in Bucharest – 1,375 and in the counties of Constanta – 543, Bihor – 506 and Prahova – 490.
As compared to the eight months of last year, the steepest plunges in the number of firms having suspended activity were in the counties of Suceava (minus 49.06 pct), Brasov (minus 45.83 pct), Olt (minus 45.58 pct) and Iasi (minus 43.4 pct), the Trade Registry announce
