The Government approved at its Tuesday meeting the negotiation and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Romania and Bulgaria for the construction of two new bridges over the Danube.
The bridges will connect the cities of Calarasi (Romania) and Silistra (Bulgaria), and Turnu Magurele (Romania) and Nikopol (Bulgaria), respectively.
The announcement was made by Government spokesman Corneliu Calota in a briefing at the Victoria Palace.
According to the spokesman, the memorandum envisages the implementation of the feasibility studies on the construction of the two new bridges.
