BEC accredits IRES to conduct exit-polls in presidential elections

The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) has adopted at its session on Thursday a decision accrediting the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy (IRES) to conduct exit-polls in the November 2 presidential elections.
IRES poll operators will be granted access, on the basis of their accreditation, within a 500-m buffer zone around the polling stations, with access in the polling stations being, however, withheld, a decision made public by BEC on their website shows.
Furthermore, the operators have the obligation to not disturb public order and peace and to not intervene in any way in the organisation and conduct of the elections, the source shows.
