Bankability of European projects must no longer be problem but additional source

The business milieu is currently situated in a middle position between benefiting from EU funding and receiving state aid and the bankability of the projects drawn up, and in the next period a formula must be found for the bankability of the European projects to no longer be a problem, but an additional source, Gabriel Friptu, general manager of the Management Authority for Regional Operational Programme (AMPOR), told Tuesday’s meeting on ‘Non-repayable Funds in Romania – Perspectives and Opportunities,’ organized by the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ‘Currently, the business milieu is situated in a middle position, namely between benefiting from EU funding and state aid, and the bankability of the projects drawn up. In the next period, we will find a formula for the bankability of the European projects to no longer be a problem, but an additional source. Regarding project expertise, there are beneficiaries who have never used the services of a consulting firm, for instance small businesses, which will never set up a funds management department,’ said Gabriel Friptu. According to him, there is the perception on the market that European funds are different compared to any other type of funding. The Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 2002 and provides services of economic information, brokerage between business partners, market information, marketing consulting, market researches and advising for German investors.
