The nonconformist guitar player, composer and producer Jack White will perform at the Romexpo Central Pavilion in Bucharest on Sunday, November 9. The show is part of the tour promoting the artist’s new album “Lazaretto”, launched on June 10, a recording that debuted at no. 1 in the 200 Billboard chart and was sold in over 140,000 copies the first week after being launched.
Jack White, the winner of eight Grammy awards, was the guitar player and vocalist of the duo band The White Stripes. The band launched six albums. After divorcing his wife Megan White, the artist started out on a solo career and instantly seduced his fans due to his eccentricity, naturalness and an eclectic style that combines blues, rock and punk.
White was also in the cast of the films “Cold Mountain” (2003), “Coffee and Cigarettes” (2003), “The Fearless Freaks” (2005) and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” (2007). Also, he was one of the musicians included in the documentary “It Might Get Loud” (2008), about electric guitar.
In the opening of his Romanian concert, starting at 8:00 PM, organizers Phoenix Entertainment prepared a recital by the Romanian band Omul cu Sobolani, one of the most appreciated alternative rock bands in Romania, that has launched eight albums so far.
The tickets may be purchased in the Eventim network, but also online, on www.eventim.ro.
