Jack White gave a first time performance at the Romexpo Central Pavilion in Bucharest on Sunday, in front of approximately 5,000 people. The show was part of the tour promoting the artist’s new album, “Lazaretto,” launched on June 10, an album that debuted on the no.1 position in the 200 Billboard chart and sold over 140,000 copies in the first week.
After the performance given by Romanian band Omul cu Sobolani, one of the most highly appreciated alternative rock bands in Romania, a band that has launched eight albums so far, Jack White, winner of eight Grammy awards, took to the stage. He sang in front of the Romanian fans that filled the immense round-shaped hall and that enjoyed the show thought-out and interpreted eccentrically, naturally and in an eclectic style that combines blues, rock and punk.
The amazing guitar player, composer and producer received intense applauses, both from the young members of the audience but also from older fans that know him from the time when he was guitar player and vocalist of the duo band The White Stripes.
Jack White was accompanied by Dominic Davis (bass), Daru Jones (drums), Fats Kaplin (violin), Lillie Mae Rische (violin) and Dean Fertita (keyboard). The concert was organized by Phoenix Entertainment.
