Close to the Romanian Athenaeum in capital Bucharest Accor will open the first Mercure unit in Romania on November 17. The hotel on the George Enescu street will have 114 rooms of three different categories – Superior, Privilege and one Privilege Suite – a fitness hall, two conference halls, and will have four stars. The leitmotif of the hotel is the music, transposed in different ways throughout the entire location from the exterior design to interior accesories.
In Romania, Accor runs five hotels, a Pullman unit, a Novotel one, and four Ibis Hotels, together 1,221 rooms. Worldwide, the group runs over 3,500 hotels in 92 countries, under brands such as Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, Pullman, Adagio, Ibis and MGallery.
