New ANT President asked to continue projects financed with European funds

SMEs, Business Environment and Tourism Minister Florin Jianu has asked Simona Man, the new President of the National Tourism Authority (ANT), to continue the projects started by the previous team in order to hike the absorption rate of European funds.
“I am expecting you to continue the projects started by the National Tourism Authority, by Mrs. Mirela Matichescu’s team. I am expecting you to continue the activity in order to hike the absorption rate of European funds. I expect us to have a rate of over 30 per cent by the end of 2014 and to reach an absorption rate of 80 per cent by the end of 2015,” Florin Jianu stated at the opening of Romania’s Tourism Fair.
Simona Allice Man, president of the Dan Diaconescu People’s Party (PPDD), was appointed by the Prime Minister early this week president of the National Tourism Authority, with the rank of secretary of state.
The two dignitaries attended the opening Romanian Tourism Fair. Over 270 companies of 14 countries show their offers in the 32nd edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair (TTR), carried out at Romexpo exhibition centre, in the period November 13 – 16.
