“The Desert Lion”- one more performance on November 24

The performance The Desert Lion will continue winning viewers’ hearts: a week after the premiere, a new performance was sold out. And the interest of the audience for a show that reunites, for the first time in the same cast, two geniuses of Romanian theatre: Radu Beligan and Maia Morgenstern, increases as days go by. Therefore, a new performance was scheduled on the stage of the Youth Theatre (National Children’s Palace) in Bucharest, on November 24, reported Mediafax.

The performance has an outstanding cast that includes Radu Beligan, Maia Morgenstern, Mircea Rusu, Lamia Beligan, George Remes and Tania Popa and is irresistible due to its powerful characters and unpredictable action, and melts viewers’ hearts due to the highly humorous and genuinely intense peak moments of the play.

Each performance of the “Desert Lion” is an event of Romanian theatre in itself, as it offers theatre fans the chance to see together on stage, for the first time, Radu Beligan and Maia Morgenstern. The play is a comedy with an alert plot placed in the world full of intrigues of an international mafia cartel, and was written by Mona Radu especially for the two legends of the stage, who thus appear in the same show for the first time.

The prodigious career of actress Maia Morgenstern includes numerous remarkable characters, as well as appearances in over 20 films and TV series.

Radu Beligan has an impressive activity in film, theatre, TV and radio, is a honorary member of the Romanian Academy since 2004 and since December 2013, he was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the actor with the longest career on stage.
