Piraeus Bank Romania opens three more Business Centres for SMEs

Piraeus Bank Romania opens three Business Centres for SMEs in Craiova, Iasi and Cluj, and in the coming period the bank is to launch two more such operations, a bank’s release reads.
The three units are already operational and are targeting small- and medium-sized enterprises in the counties of Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti, Cluj, Bistrita, Alba, Salaj, Satu Mare, Botosani, Suceava, Vaslui, Bacau, Vrancea and Neamt.
The objectives of the three centres are expanding the SME loan portfolio owned by Piraeus Bank Romania, accelerate lending in this segment and increasing the quality of services provided to both current and future customers.
With the launch of these three new operations, Piraeus Bank Romania holds six Business Centres dedicated exclusively to SME customers. Piraeus Bank launched the first structure of this kind in May 2013, in Bucharest, and continued with those in Constanta and Ploiesti.
The bank says that this type of operation, which is addressed exclusively to SMEs, is derived from a project implemented at the group’s level, with similar constructions existing also in other countries, such as Greece, Albania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
