Over 100,000 new economic operators were registered during this January-November, according to figures supplied by the Trade Registry and the analyses conducted by the Department for SMEs, Business Climate and Tourism.
‘We are glad that the 100,000-mark of registrations was passed in 2014, which points to the fact the business climate is in constant movement and evolution. At the same time, it is worth noticing that professional, scientific and technical activities are ranked second by the companies’ field of activity, accounting for some 11 percent of the total number, which shows the Romanian entrepreneurs are increasingly turning towards innovation’, said the Ministry for SMEs, Business Climate and Tourism in a release.
The limited liability companies are ranked top of the total 100,179 firms with 56,607 registrations, the registered sole traders come second with 28,842 registrations, while the individual businesses are ranked third with 13,721 registrations.
When it comes to the field of activity of the newly-registered businesses, the top-three spots are taken by wholesale and retail trade with 29.9 percent, professional, scientific and technical activities with 11.1 percent and building with 8.3 percent.
