Terrorism accusations following Kelemen Hunor’s statements

The Organised Crime and Terrorism Investigating Department (DIICOT) have started investigations following Kelemen Hunor’s call ‘to recover our home land’. The prosecutors commenced criminal investigation ‘in rem’ for threats under the law against terrorism. Kelemen Hunor made the statements on 13 December, from the rostrum of the Council of Union Representatives (CRU) of the Hungarian Union of Romania (UDMR) in Targu Mures. ‘We must continue down this way, step by step, to recover our home land. This alliance (UDMR – a/n) was created 25 years ago to work for us and, 25 years later, this alliance is needed’, Kelemen Hunor said the day UDMR quit the Government.
