3 tons of ice to be brought for the Sankt Petersburg State Ballet on Ice

The Sankt Petersburg State Ballet on Ice presents ‘Cinderella on Ice’, on 5 April 2015, at Sala Palatului. The show is created by Konstantin Rassadin, choreographer of the company and pre-eminent artist of Russia.

For the show, the Sala Palatului stage will be covered by 3 tons of ice, the event organisers inform.

The ice ballet concept was created in 1967 by the choreographer Konstantin Boiarski, who had the idea of transposing classical ballet from stage to the ice rink, in a combination of ballet and figure skating.

The ballet company includes approximately 80 dancer-skaters, many of whom are European, world or Olympic figure skating champions, and masters of sports in Russia.

Since 1995, the group has offered hundreds of representations on opera and theatre stages around the world – USA, Canada, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Columbia, Argentina, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Turkey, and Switzerland etc.

Tickets to the show in Bucharest are available for prices from 49 to 299 lei in the Eventim, MyTicket, bilete.ro. blt.ro, starticket.ro networks, in the Immedio stores and at Sala Palatului box office.
