President Klaus Iohannis signs decrees to appoint five presidential advisers

President Klaus Iohannis on Monday signed the decrees of appointment of five presidential advisers. According to a press release by the Presidential Administration, it is about Dan Mihalache, Dan Muraru, Cosmin-Stefan Marinescu, Tatiana Niculescu Bran and Adrian-George Scutaru.

Currently PNL Deputy Secretary General in charge of political strategy and analysis, Dan Mihalache (photo)  will be the head of the Presidential Chancellery.

Simina Tănăsescu, university professor of constitutional and parliamentarian law, will be presidential adviser on constitutional law.

Cosmin-Stefan Marinescu, university lecturer at the Academy of Economic Studies, formerly adviser to Finance Minister Daniel Chiţoiu and PNL Deputy Secretary General will take over the position as economic adviser from Bogdan Dragoi, who filled this role during the Traian Basescu Administration.

The historian Dan Muraru, former President of the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and Memory of Romanian Exile, will be a civil society and public authority liaison adviser.

Tatiana Niculescu Bran, formerly a journalist and currently a writer, will be the president’s spokeswoman.

Adrian-George Scutaru, ex-leader of the PNL political group in the lower Chamber of Parliament, former journalist and former ApR President Teodor Melescanu’s advisor, will work as Klaus Iohannis’ adviser on national security.
