Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu appointed personal advisor to President Klaus Iohannis

National Liberal Party (PNL) First Deputy Chairman Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu was appointed personal advisor to President Klaus Iohannis, official sources confirmed for Agerpres on Monday.According to the cited sources, this personal advisor office is not paid, but honorary.
Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu is currently holding a Senator position.

Radu Tudor, analyst at Antena3 TV explained that there is a difference between the position of presidential adviser and personal adviser and that is possible that this appointment to have another target. “It’s an important difference between a presidential adviser and a personal adviser. While the presidential adviser  has the rank of minister, the personal adviser is the one who advises the president and is not assigned to a specific area. It is possible that Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu’s appointment to be a signal for SIE leadership, as the institution has not a valid leadership. Maybe Mr. Iohannis thinks to appoint Mr. Ungureanu to SIE again. At this time, this kind of appointments will bring a lot of debate, not the most pleasant for Mr. Iohannis, “ believes Radu Tudor.
