President Iohannis, PM Ponta discuss State Budget and 0.3 pct of the GDP additional allotment to the Army

President Klaus Iohannis and Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday had talks on the state budget and the 0.3 per cent of the GDP additional allotment to the Defence Ministry, the Presidential Administration informs.

‘Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis on Monday, December 29, received at the Cotroceni Palace Prime Minister Victor Ponta, with whom he discussed the state budget and the 0.3 per cent of the GDP additional allotment to the Defence Ministry. This topic will soon be on the discussion agenda in the European Union,’ the Presidential Administration release shows.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday confirmed on his Twitter account the meeting at the Cotroceni Palace with President Klaus Iohannis, saying that they approached ‘common topics related to the institutional collaboration.’

‘I had the weekly meeting with President Iohannis – the common topics related to the institutional collaboration – and Happy New Year wishes,’ the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter.
