Unit 1 of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant was reconnected to the National Grid, at 6:15 am, after the turbo-generator of Unit 1 was disconnected late on December 27, Nuclearelectrica informed on Monday.
According to a company’s release, on Saturday night, the turbo-generator of Unit 1 was disconnected from the National Grid, with maintaining the reactor in service, in order to carry out some works on the classical part of the unit, reports Agerpres.
The remediation and reconnection activities were conducted by observing the procedures of the plant, as well as of the nuclear safety ones, without any adverse impact on the population, personnel, installations and environment, Nuclearelectrica informs.
