Bucharest Stock Exchange up 9.07 pct in 2014

The main index BET of the top 10 liquid issuers of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) went up 9.07 percent in 2014 and closed the last trading session of this year at 7.083 points, compared to 6,493.79 points on Dec. 30, 2013.

In 2014 the BET index reached a low of 6,135 points on March 14 and a peak of 7,278.03 points on Oct.1, reports Agerpres.

The most liquid issuers were Fondul Proprietatea (Proprietatea Fund) with 2.9 billion lei, with a 7.50 percent increase in quotations, Transilvania Bank – 930.48 million lei, up 15.64 percent compared to the end of 2013 and Romgaz – 928.8 million lei, up 3.42 percent.

On Tuesday, BET closed 0.97 percent higher compared to the previous day. The BVB transactions volume on Tuesday stood at 6.672 million euros, and the total turnover stood at 6.855 million euros.

The BET-TR index moved up 0.97 percent against Monday and the BET-Plus index of the top 37 most liquid issuers of BVB, rose by 0.80 percent.

The BET-FI index of the financial investment companies (SIFs) declined by 0.46 percent, the BET-XT extended blue-chip index of the 25 most liquid companies surged by 0.85 percent, and the BET-BK index increased by 0.44 percent
