Romania’s railway company launches “Snow Trains 2015” as of January 1, 2015

CFR Passengers will launch, as of January 1, 2015, the travel offer ‘Snow Trains 2015,’ through which travelers will benefit, January 1 through February 28, 2015, from lower tariffs for the trains going to mountain resorts in the Prahova Valley, Vatra Dornei and Petrosani (Parang and Straja resorts), informs the railway company.

Tariff reductions are 25% for the travels to and from the mountain resorts on the Sinaia-Brasov route, from Monday to Thursday, at the 2nd class, 25% for the travels to and from Vatra Dornei and Petrosani, at the 2nd class, and 31% to 56%, on all weekdays, for Interregio trains running on the Sinaia – Brasov route.

For example, on the Bucharest – Predeal route, the price of the discounted ticket is 27.75 lei, by 9.25 lei less than the full price. For the Constanta – Sinaia route, the ticket’s price is 53.65 lei, by 17.85 lei less.
