Patriarch Daniel invited to Palestine

Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church (BOR), His Beatitude  Daniel received Fuad Kokaly, the new ambassador of Palestine to Bucharest, on Monday, at the patriarchal residence. The ambassador invited the Patriarch to meet the highest Palestinian authorities during his next visit to the Holy Land.

At the same time, Ambassador Fuad Kokaly asked His Holiness Daniel to analyze the future possibility of Palestinian Orthodox students studying at theology faculties in Romania, in order to contribute to better cooperation between the two people.

During the visit the two talked about the difficult situation in the Middle East, which creates great problems particularly for Christians.

His Holiness Daniel expressed his hope that through prayer and the efforts of the relevant factors in the region, and with international support, solutions for a long-lasting peace will be identified, peace that will contribute to good cohabitation between all those who live in the region.
