Gabriel Sandu, former Communications Minister in the Boc Government arrested in the Microsoft case, has told prosecutors that a part of the bribe money ended up in the hands of former ministers such as Adriean Videanu and Radu Berceanu, and in the hands of Roberta Anastase, Realitatea TV informs.
“I categorically reject any linkage between my name and the Microsoft Case. I had no kind of connection, not even tangentially, with the initiation or implementation of the contract concerned. I never had any kind of private relations with Gabriel Sandu. If proven that Gabriel Sandu made that statement about me I will sue him for calumny,” Adriean Videanu stated for ziare.com.
Gabriel Sandu, currently under preventive arrest after he was charged with influence peddling and passive bribery in the Microsoft case, was detained by anticorruption prosecutors on October 27. He is accused of having received a EUR 3 M bribe in order to help some companies sign a framework user agreement for Microsoft licenses. Dorin Cocos, Nicolae Dumitru and Piatra Neamt Mayor Gheorghe Stefan are also under preventive arrest in the same case.
