Romania Broadway Festival 2015 dedicated to culture, values and traditions from the Prahova County

Organizers of Romania Day Festival on Broadway were received on Tuesday by Marian Cosma, chair of Prahova County Council to talk about the forthcoming participation of Prahova County in Romania Broadway Festival to take place on May 10.

“ The Sixteenth Edition of the Romania Day Festival® will be dedicated in its entirety to the County of Prahova, one of the most prolific and amazingly beautiful regions of the country. Blessed with a breathtaking scenery of the Carpathian Alps, a vast world-class winemaking province, some of the oldest and best know oil drilling regions known to man and a booming industrial growth, the Prahova County is in the top three most attractive and productive Romanian regions,” reads a release published on www. romaniabroadway.com.

“On Sunday, May 10th, Broadway will feature unique foundations of Romanian history, culture, values and traditions from the Prahova County. Held between Liberty Street and Battery Park/Bowling Green Plaza, the Romania Day Festival will host artists, dancers, musicians and craftsmen from Ploiesti, Campina, Sinaia, Busteni, Valenii de Munte and beyond. Leaders from the Prahova County Council, the Prefecture, mayors and several community front-runners will join us together with representatives from the North-American Diaspora to celebrate our unique and very special values,” adds the release.

“High-ranking American officials, including Congress representatives, politicians, diplomats and community leaders will be on hand to share in the celebration. Over 25,000 people are expected to visit the stands and spend the day in an original Romanian setting, in the heart of New York City”.

Prahova County  was invited last year by the Romanian-American  Chamber of Commerce in New York and by the Consulate General of Romania in the same city, to participate in Romania Broadway Festival, the XVI edition, to be held on May  10, 2015. The participation to this event was approved in the Prahova County Council meeting from  December 2014.

“Romania Broadway Festival” is a unique and valuable historic event, which supports and promotes Romania, the country’s cultural values ​​and its  achievements. It is the biggest Romanian event abroad, which annually attracts over 25,000 visitors from all over the world, writes ph-online.ro.
